Terms of use
These terms apply to the Pick Often app and this website. By using them, you agree to these terms. Pick Often is made by Adeeb Trabulsi with Suzan Trabulsi, Clinical Dietitian (licensed by DHA and DoH Abu Dhabi).
Information and education only
Pick Often gives general nutrition information to help you read food labels. It is for information and education only. It is not medical advice, and it does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition.
Talk to your doctor or another qualified health professional before changing your diet, medication or care, especially if you are pregnant, have a medical condition or take medication. Don't ignore or delay professional advice because of something you read in Pick Often.
Results depend on the label
Results are based on the text the app reads from the label you scan and on published rules our dietitian writes and cites. The app can misread a label, and labels can be wrong, out of date or differ between countries and pack sizes. Always check the pack itself. If a result looks wrong, trust the label and tell us so we can fix it.
Subscriptions
Some features need a subscription. Pick Often offers auto-renewing subscriptions, billed annually (with a 7-day free trial) or monthly. Prices are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase or, for the annual plan, when the free trial ends.
- The subscription renews automatically at the same price for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period (or of the free trial). Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- A free trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your iPhone's Settings: tap your name, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies; you can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Licence
The app is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA), together with these terms. If the two conflict, the standard EULA applies to the licence of the app.
Fair use
Please use Pick Often for your own personal use. Don't copy, resell or scrape its rules or content, or try to disrupt the service.
Our responsibility
We work hard to make Pick Often accurate and helpful, but it is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for decisions you make based on it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms as Pick Often changes. We will update the date at the top of this page, and tell you in the app about important changes.
